Dear Players and Parents,
our first tournament and first SM were one and the same.

We opened our account against the team who is the last four years SM winners (who went on to win this years SM as well), a serious challenge. Despite a few nerves and basic mistakes, we put up a fine performance! The next three matches were a mixed bag of blood, sweat, determination, lack of match-routine and a huge deficiet in size and weight. However in all three matches we gave them a good, hard fight!
On a auspicious, foggy, sunday morning, having licked our wounds from the previous day, there was an air of new-found optimism in the lads. After a good warm-up and a reminder of tactical strategy, the lads came out on the pitch with new confidence, and a sence of purpose to prove to all around what they are capable of. After a tough first half, the lads came out with even more determination, and despite not scoring, they held their ground and showed the experienced opposition Red Saints fear no-one and can take the fight to anyone (not allowing the opposition any more tries)!!!
Our final match - the lads came out like warriors possessed, against a team with two years of experience in training and tournaments. The tackling, the handling, the attacking agression, the loose-play, the rucks and mauls, the line-outs, the scrums, the covering in defense, - in short - every aspect of their game was perfect. By full-time the oppositions two tries had been matched by our two full-team-cooperation tries! We now had o play until the first golden-try was scored. I suddenly realised the whole of the far touch-line was full of numerous different clubs and their mosaic of coloured jerseys. They were all whole-heartedly shouting support for our Saints! They had won so much respect after only five matches, from all that saw them play and grow as a new team! In a fifty-fifty situationit was not to be, but our lads left that pitch with heads held high. They had cut their teeth and established their presence in the world of rugby. We as coaches and parents could not have been more proud!
The future for Red Saints youth and junior rugby looks very promising. I do not know about the opposition, but when our lads hit the pitch they scare the _ _ _ _ out of me!

Tomorrows game against Exiles is cancel, due to lack of players and interest.
So that’s means we are kicked out of the series.
We will for the rest of the year practise with Attila at Årsta, and hopefully get players back so we can play some friendly´s.
Not a very happy coaching staff/ Kotte and Rob
